NU Skin Philippines Review: The Truth About This MLM Company

If you’ve been in the MLM industry for quite some time, it’s very likely that you’ve heard about NU Skin Philippines. This blog post provides an in-depth review about the said network marketing company. In this review, you’ll discover what NU Skin is all about, what are its products, and how to build your network in the program.

Full Disclosure: I am not an NU Skin distributor. What you’re about to read is a fair and honest review of the company, based on research. I do NOT earn any commissions from NU Skin.

That being said, here’s the information you need to know.

What Is NU Skin?

Nu Skin is an international company spanning continents like Africa, North and South America, Europe, and China. Their products include skin care, heath and wellness, beauty devices, and supplements.

Office address is at 23F Exquadra Tower, 1 Jade Drive Cor. Exchange Road, Ortigas Business Center, Pasig City 1605, with branches in Makati, Pampanga, and Cebu.

NU Skin Enterprises Inc was founded in 1984. It is also traded in the New York Stock Exchange. It opened it’s Philippines subsidiary on Feb 5, 1988 and is the 6th market in Asia and the 23rd market worldwide to sell Nu Skin®, Pharmanex®, and ageLOC® products.

My first impression… They have a very professional looking site. You can easily find information about the company on Google. Also, being listed and traded in the world’s largest stock exchange is a huge plus.

NU Skin’s Pharmanex scientists consulted with world experts in child malnutrition and reformulated VitaMeals® to offer

NU Skin’s Pharmanex scientists consulted with world experts in child malnutrition and reformulated VitaMeals® to offer an ideal food solution. The new food has over three times the number of calories per serving! By purchasing this product, you are making a donation. Your bag will go to sustainable feeding programs in Mexico, Argentina, Haiti, El Salvador, Eswatini, Somalia, Colombia, Nicaragua, and Malawi where malnutrition rates are high.

Nu Skin has a wide variety of products. What I find surprising is the Vitameal. You are feeding families and providing the best nutrition for their feeding programs. You can easily buy one if you are the type who is looking to give to charity and create an impact in humanity.

On a side note, their products are on a higher range that middle to upper class can afford. So you’d need to unleash your marketing skills. To make it worthwhile. Read on because later, I’ll let you in on a secret on how to win in this industry.

NU Skin Philippines Compensation Plan

“To become the world’s leading direct sales company by generating more income for our Sales Leaders than any other company,” – that is NU Skin’s promise. The company aspires  to distinguish themselves as the true leaders in global compensation.

First, you have to be a member. In order to do that, you need to register as a Brand Affiliate. You can join via their website or through your sponsor’s invitation link. Take note that you need to have your Sponsoring Brand Affiliate ID when you join through the website.

There are three kinds of members: Distributor/ Brand Affiliate,  Brand Representative which can either be a Builder or a  Leader.

With that being said, let’s see how their compensation fares with their competitors.

  1. Sharing Bonus

Earn daily through commissions or what they call a sharing bonus. It ranges from 5% to 20% of a product’s member price.

First, you have to register a customer. Then when the customer purchases products from NU Skin, the sharing bonus is paid to the brand affiliate (You) unless they become a Brand Representative.

  1. Building Bonus

This is the part where you earn weekly Building Bonuses when you build your team of brand affiliates and registered customers. You have the capacity to earn 5% to 40% on your entire group’s commission sales.

The commissions depend on the Sales Volume which is a point system used to compare the value of the products. As a builder, you earn through sharing blocks and building blocks.

One block is equivalent to 500 points of sales volumes.

Sharing block is a building block but only counts purchases from your personally registered customers, distributors, and qualifying sales leaders. While Building block covers anywhere in your group that is not registered by you.

The commission varies on the number of blocks you create. It starts at 5% for the first two blocks, 10% when you have three, 15% for four, and so on as illustrated on the picture.

To be able to qualify as a Builder, you first need to develop a group of registered customers, distributors and sales leaders. Then submit a letter of intent to Nu Skin online. You need to complete 12 building blocks, 4 of which are sharing blocks, in 5 consecutive months. Finish the qualifications and have a monthly maintenance of 4 building blocks.

  1. Leadership Bonus

Earn monthly Leading Bonus when you help your fellow Sales Leaders/ Brand Representatives succeed with their own customers.

As a leader, you get to earn 2.5%, 5% or 10% on the commissionable sales of your team. To be eligible you need to be a brand representative who has completed 4 or more building blocks in a month.

I hope that doesn’t sound too confusing. Basically, there will be additional bonuses as you grow your team and expand your business. You need to file an application in order to do so. And maintain the requirements monthly.

What I can tell from their compensation plan is that you need to have loyal customers who purchase monthly and a team that produces and hits your target monthly sales. I don’t know about you, but I don’t think you can rely on selling their toothpaste alone.

Tips and Strategies for Promoting Your NU Skin Business

Like with any networking company, NU Skin offers you a dream income and a dream life too. With a 30k leadership bonus, that’s already a month’s salary not including the sharing and building bonus as well. But as I said earlier, you can’t rely on just selling toothpaste. You need to develop your sales and marketing skills.
